Dosimetrist at Fort Worth

Alyzen Medical Physics is an innovative and expanding medical physics consulting group currently searching for a board-certified medical dosimetrist to join our team of physicists, dosimetrists, software engineers, and management staff. This is a full-time position based in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate is proficient with Eclipse treatment planning system, as well as, Aria record and verify system.

DETAILS

Qualifications:

  • CMD Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
  • Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences / Medical Dosimetry or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Medical Dosimetrist in a progressive radiation oncology facility.

Experience Requirements:

  • Treatment planning systems: Eclipse
  • Record and Verify: Aria
  • Linear Accelerator: True Beam
  • External Beam Planning: conventional planning, IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS.
  • Portal Dosimetry experience is a plus.
  • Independent Monitor Unit Check: Rad Calc

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of radiation oncology.
  • Accurately delineates organs at risk and develops optimal treatment plans in accordance with the physician’s prescription and constraint form.
  • Duties are characteristic of medical dosimetrists working with linear accelerators utilizing state of the art software, hardware, and modern treatment planning techniques.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Works well independently and in team environments.
  • Ability to stay focused and organized in a high-volume facility.
  • Superior level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains a positive and safe working environment for the customers serviced.

Senior Physicist at Wichita

Alyzen Medical Physics is an innovative and expanding medical physics consulting group currently searching for a senior level ABR certified medical physicist to join our team of physicists, dosimetrists, software engineers, and management staff. This position will be primarily based in Wichita, Kansas at a facility with great equipment providing a range of radiation oncology services to keep a physicist engaged and their skills sharp.

Wichita, Kansas

Wichita is the largest city in the state of Kansas, boasting a population of over 650,000 people. With museums, theaters, parks, and entertainment venues, it has “big city” amenities with a small-town feel. It has great access to lakes and state parks for those interested in outdoor adventures. Wichita has a newly renovated airport and is located only two hours’ drive time from Oklahoma City and Kansas City. Wichita State University calls it home and Kansas State University and Kansas University are only a few hours away.

The Facility

The facility is well-equipped and provides an array of services. Here are a few highlights:

In addition to routine external beam therapy, the physicists at this facility will have the opportunity to be involved with SBRT, SRS, Brachytherapy, and IORT.

Requirements

Masters or PhD in Medical Physics- ABR Certified with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The candidate must possess a strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology physics including HDR, SBRT, and SRS. This position requires a person with strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Situated on the Arkansas River, Fort Smith is the second largest city in the state of Arkansas with an estimated population of 88,000 people. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the city’s 316 acres of public space parks. Residents have the opportunity to enjoy to Lake Fort Smith State Park and also have access to national forests just a short drive away. Fort Smith is home to many local restaurants, museums, and music venues. The University of Arkansas has a campus in Fort Smith and the main campus is just an hour’s drive north.
